A final note about training....
It is common for managers to send individuals to seminars and training courses. Too often, however, the inspired, enlightened and enthusiastic individuals return to organizations whose attention is so focused on other immediate issues that they are unable to get anyone’s attention to positively impact the organization with what they have learned. The investment in individual training is diluted in the sea of organization pre-occupation and apathy. The training manual is often relegated to an impotent position on the shelf in some book case
It is only when organizations train and implement as a group that the full benefit of training is achieved - and that includes management. The most successful companies in improving the effectiveness of their marketing and sales organizations have trained and implemented QMP™ processes as a team—from senior management to field sales and product managers.
